On May 23rd I spent all day at the Brownfield Transforming
Through Transition Fair. Texas Tech asked me to be one of their Key Note
Speakers and bought 60 books to give to each girl that I spoke to. The 8th
grade girls were split into three groups and I gave my presentation about
bullying to each group. After my
presentations, they brought the 8th grade girls and boys together
for a big presentation given by a rapper named Yella Boy and an American Idol
participant named Javonte Bibbs. Yella Boy is a rapper whose raps are
inspirational and Javonte got into the top thirty of American Idol. They both
sang for us and sounded amazing, and the presentation was very inspirational!
After Yella Boy and Javonte finished, the 8th graders had lunch and
the girls had me sign their books, and both the girls and boys had me sign
autographs and their shirts. As I was leaving that day, it was so touching to
see the some of the girls reading my book even though they had the freedom to
be talking or running around. I am so honored to have inspired them that much
in my presentation that they couldn’t wait to crack open my book. It is such a
good feeling to be God’s tool! <3 Jacy MCOT

May 22nd
On May 22nd, the counselor of the Kelly/Dodson
Elementary School in Denver City, Texas asked me to speak about bullying. I was
able to bring Scarlet, my ventriloquist figure, to help me speak. The girls
loved Scarlet and had several questions for her. I shared my story with them
and educated them about the positive ways to overcome bullying and explained
how each of us has special qualities and talents that make us unique.
To end
the program, a song called Don't Laugh At Me was played. This song really touched my
heart and gave me another great resource for my platform. Mrs. Hilburn, the
counselor, also purchased 25 of my books to give away in a drawing. What a
great day! <3 Jacy MCOT
Jacy's JEWELS and GEMS Style Show
Lights... Camera... Action… On May 19th, my JEWELS and GEMS
met to have our First Annual Jacy’s JEWELS and GEMS Style Show. It turned out
to be a great success! The kiddos modeled in Spring attire, Dressy attire, and
shared a talent.
The kids had a choice to pick their categories, so not everyone participated in
the talent portion. They all did a fabulous job. I am so blessed to work with my JEWELS
and GEMS!
The kids had some cute Spring attire and some snazzy Dressy attire. I am so
impressed with all of the neat talents presented by my JEWELS and GEMS. I must
say, what a talented group of young men and women that I had the opportunity to
work with this year. The Miss Texas Organization better be ready when these
ladies are able to compete because there will be some tough competition! Also,
have I mentioned how WONDERFUL our escorts did! They looked so adorable in
their Tuxedos and bowties! I am honored to say that I had the opportunity to
get to know this group of young ladies and gentlemen! They are OUTSTANDING! I
am also proud to say that this event raised $320 for the Komen Walk for the Cure.
Please log onto the Jacy's JEWELS and GEMS website for more pictures and a list of participants. <3 Jacy MCOT
May 13th
On May 13th I was invited to
speak to the 6th and 7th grade girls at
Brownfield Middle School. They were a great group and I think they had fun
learning about my platform. One of their teachers who sat in on the program
told me afterwards that I had no idea how much of an impact I make to the
people I talk to because she still remembers when a former Miss Teen Texas,
Brooke Staudt, came to speak to her class when she was in school. It is so nice
to hear that because I want to make an impact and help others learn a healthy
way to overcome bullying and avoid peer pressure. Educating and inspiring are
the main reasons I am proud to wear my crown; I am able to share my story with
others and let them know that they are not alone and they can reach their goals
and dreams if they focus on the positives and love who they are.
After I shared my platform, we had time for questions and
answers and few of the girls had asked if I would come to their end of the year
band concert. I was honored to watch as the 6th grade,
Middle School, and High School bands performed. They all sounded wonderful and I
loved seeing some of the girls I had spoken to that morning! <3 Jacy MCOT

May
May started out with a trip to Dallas. On the 4th I helped
put caulk on a house for Habitat for Humanity and was interviewed for the Chronicle
TV News. This past week leading up to Mother's Day is National Woman Build Week and it was an honor to be a part of that. I also visited Bruce Wallace, a Vietnam Veteran and dear friend and mentor, who was in the hospital because of a heart attack. It was great to see him again and I am glad he is doing better, Bruce is a wonderful man that has sparked my knowledge on our Veterans and men and women in service. On the 5th, the Miss Fort Worth Organization
(a. k. a. my MFWSO family) held a Mock Pageant for all of the Fort Worth girls
and any other organization that wanted to participate. We were able to have a mock interview and practice our walking patterns and talent for the judges and received helpful feedback. I had so much fun
reuniting with my MFWSO family again. Can't wait until Miss Texas week! <3 MCOT Jacy

Fun Times :)
April 27th was my Junior prom! I had a fabulous time with my
date and my friends! We danced the night away to the great music provided by
the DJs and I was voted the Most Artistic of the Junior class! On April 30th,
the Denver City Production class performed Murder Box and I played Pricilla.
Our main prop was the Magic “Murder” Box and I helped my wood shop teacher
build it! I had a blast! Another great thing about April is that I received
Student of the Month! What a great month April has been!
April JEWELS and GEMS meeting
My JEWELS and GEMS met again in April. Our theme was “You Rock” and we
talked about how they, like rocks, can be polished to have more value and worth. We
talked about how they could become polished- polishing for people is obtained
by the choices they make. I also took the kids back to the 50’s and the time of
ROCK & roll. We learned how our lives are like a record, or in this day and
age, a CD. Our lives and the choices we make are RECORDed on to the CD of life and we talked about how we want
our lives to be recorded (remembered). For exercise, we learned how to do the twist. Boy, can they dance?! We made
a calcium rich snack of old-fashioned Ice Cream Sundays and they were very creative with the fresh fruit. We painted rocks to take home to remind them that "they rock". We
read a book entitled “Bully BEANS” and talked about how Bullies Everywhere Are
Now Stopped and I gave them each a bag of Bully Beans to take home. I love
working with my JEWELS and GEMS they always make me smile! <3 MCOT Jacy
Spring Meeting Weekend
To start off Spring Meeting weekend (April 5th-7th), I was invited back to Harmony Science Academy. I presented my School Program for their 4th, 5th, and 6th graders and that was the largest group that I have spoken to. The Harmony kiddos welcomed me and embraced me with hugs. I signed more autographs then ever before and they all wanted pictures with me. Since then I have received letters and Facebook messages that stated what they have learned and how I made a difference in their lives.
After my School Program, I headed to Allen for an all
pageant weekend with all of my pageant friends at Spring Meeting. I received a
ton of great information and listened to/met so many wonderful speakers. The
Miss Texas Organization held the annual Woman of Achievement dinner and my
nominee, Lisa Landry, and her family was able to attend and Mrs. Landry received
her award from Miss Texas, DaNae Couch, Miss Texas Outstanding Teen, Margana
Wood, and myself. The Miss Texas Organization also held the Mini Miss Texas
pageant where one of my little friends Kiley Irlbeck won the Talent award. What
an exceptional weekend! <3 MCOT Jacy
