I have thoroughly enjoyed being Miss Carrollton’s
Outstanding Teen. I am so honored to have held this title this year and to have
had my MFWSO family. Thank you so much to my wonderful directors Shelli, Dan,
and Faith Bates. You three have been so wonderful and helpful and I loved
having the opportunity to work with y’all. It has been delightful working with
my MFWSO family. I loved spending time with and really getting to know my
awesome directors and my sister title holders; through this MFWSO family I have
gained friends for life! This year I have had the chance to meet some truly
amazing people and made so many fantastic appearances. The people of Carrollton
welcomed me and treated me as one of their own and I loved spending time in my
title city. I loved meeting wounded warriors, parents, teachers, and students
on my appearances this year and I am blessed to have shared my platform with
most of them. I can’t believe my journey is coming to an end as the Miss Texas
pageant nears. I’ve worked hard, now the time is coming for me to give it all
I’ve got! I truly want the title and the job of Miss Texas Outstanding Teen; so
say a little prayer as I finish out my journey at the Miss Texas pageant next
week. <3 Jacy MCOT

Last Weekend in Dallas Before MTOT Pageant!
I spent the weekend of the 8th
preparing for the Miss Texas pageant. The Miss Fort Worth Scholarship Organization
had our wardrobe showing where we got to show off our competition wardrobe for
the pageant and perform our talents. After the wardrobe showing, I met my
trainer for a tough workout (he likes to kill me in workouts). My trainer has
really helped me work for the healthy body I want by my clean eating program
and super powerful workouts. On Sunday, we had our last MFWSO meeting and
afterwards, we celebrated our Lone Star Princesses with a pool party at the Colonial
Country Club! I enjoyed spending time with two of my LSPs. Ashlyn and Kambrie
are two precious girls and I am so glad that they were able to come! So sad Hannah, one of our beautiful LSPs, was not able to make
it!
Now
all there is left to do is prep for the pageant, organize and get clothes
together, and get set for our next trip… Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen Pageant,
here I come! :) <3 Jacy MCOT

JEWELS and GEMS Crowning
Presenting royalty! After a great year with my JEWELS and
GEMS I presented them with crowns and sashes. I am so proud of everything they
have accomplished this year. My JEWELS and GEMS are an outstanding bunch! Not
only did they attend the monthly meetings, they are implementing what we
talk about. I have heard so many great things that they have done outside of
Jacy’s JEWELS and GEMS, like compliments about their attitudes and behaviors
from parents and teachers. They are even doing community service on their own.
What a blessing it is to have been a part of their lives this year!

Brownfield Transforming Through Transition Fair
On May 23rd I spent all day at the Brownfield Transforming
Through Transition Fair. Texas Tech asked me to be one of their Key Note
Speakers and bought 60 books to give to each girl that I spoke to. The 8th
grade girls were split into three groups and I gave my presentation about
bullying to each group. After my
presentations, they brought the 8th grade girls and boys together
for a big presentation given by a rapper named Yella Boy and an American Idol
participant named Javonte Bibbs. Yella Boy is a rapper whose raps are
inspirational and Javonte got into the top thirty of American Idol. They both
sang for us and sounded amazing, and the presentation was very inspirational!
After Yella Boy and Javonte finished, the 8th graders had lunch and
the girls had me sign their books, and both the girls and boys had me sign
autographs and their shirts. As I was leaving that day, it was so touching to
see the some of the girls reading my book even though they had the freedom to
be talking or running around. I am so honored to have inspired them that much
in my presentation that they couldn’t wait to crack open my book. It is such a
good feeling to be God’s tool! <3 Jacy MCOT
May 22nd
On May 22nd, the counselor of the Kelly/Dodson
Elementary School in Denver City, Texas asked me to speak about bullying. I was
able to bring Scarlet, my ventriloquist figure, to help me speak. The girls
loved Scarlet and had several questions for her. I shared my story with them
and educated them about the positive ways to overcome bullying and explained
how each of us has special qualities and talents that make us unique.
To end
the program, a song called Don't Laugh At Me was played. This song really touched my
heart and gave me another great resource for my platform. Mrs. Hilburn, the
counselor, also purchased 25 of my books to give away in a drawing. What a
great day! <3 Jacy MCOT
Jacy's JEWELS and GEMS Style Show
Lights... Camera... Action… On May 19th, my JEWELS and GEMS
met to have our First Annual Jacy’s JEWELS and GEMS Style Show. It turned out
to be a great success! The kiddos modeled in Spring attire, Dressy attire, and
shared a talent.
The kids had a choice to pick their categories, so not everyone participated in
the talent portion. They all did a fabulous job. I am so blessed to work with my JEWELS
and GEMS!
The kids had some cute Spring attire and some snazzy Dressy attire. I am so
impressed with all of the neat talents presented by my JEWELS and GEMS. I must
say, what a talented group of young men and women that I had the opportunity to
work with this year. The Miss Texas Organization better be ready when these
ladies are able to compete because there will be some tough competition! Also,
have I mentioned how WONDERFUL our escorts did! They looked so adorable in
their Tuxedos and bowties! I am honored to say that I had the opportunity to
get to know this group of young ladies and gentlemen! They are OUTSTANDING! I
am also proud to say that this event raised $320 for the Komen Walk for the Cure.
Please log onto the Jacy's JEWELS and GEMS website for more pictures and a list of participants. <3 Jacy MCOT
May 13th
On May 13th I was invited to
speak to the 6th and 7th grade girls at
Brownfield Middle School. They were a great group and I think they had fun
learning about my platform. One of their teachers who sat in on the program
told me afterwards that I had no idea how much of an impact I make to the
people I talk to because she still remembers when a former Miss Teen Texas,
Brooke Staudt, came to speak to her class when she was in school. It is so nice
to hear that because I want to make an impact and help others learn a healthy
way to overcome bullying and avoid peer pressure. Educating and inspiring are
the main reasons I am proud to wear my crown; I am able to share my story with
others and let them know that they are not alone and they can reach their goals
and dreams if they focus on the positives and love who they are.
After I shared my platform, we had time for questions and
answers and few of the girls had asked if I would come to their end of the year
band concert. I was honored to watch as the 6th grade,
Middle School, and High School bands performed. They all sounded wonderful and I
loved seeing some of the girls I had spoken to that morning! <3 Jacy MCOT
